About Tim
Tim’s musical life began at Bradford Grammar School where he studied both Piano and Organ to Diploma Level. After a year working at Felsted School, Tim went up as Organ Scholar to The Queen's College, Oxford. Having graduated from Oxford with an MA in Music, he moved north, spending a year studying for the Postgraduate Diploma in Keyboard Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. His teachers there included Graham Barber and Margaret Phillips. Tim combined his postgraduate studies with freelance performance and work as Graduate Organ Scholar at Manchester Cathedral.
Tim moved on to work as a teacher at King Edward's School, Witley (HMC), latterly as Director of Music. He has now relocated to East Kent, where he works as a freelance performer and teacher in and around the coastal town of Deal.
